Untarnished Netherlands beyond Amsterdam !!

PART -2

This part of the trip was a journey back in time.

We did our journey sailing in a vintage ship and in vintage steam train. Both of it was a part the Museum Stoomtram.

This narrow gauge steam railroad museum featured a 60 minute ride on a rail line from Hoorn to Medemblik and a 90 minute voyage on a steamer ship on IIjsselmeer the enclosed lake that formerly was the Zuiderzee.Right from the look of the cruise to people who work in there, everything remaind truly vintage. This gave a very back dated effect making us feel like we had travelled through time.

Since we had nearly and hour and half before sailing, we took a walk in the lovely village of Medemblik.

The steam train ride was a pure joy . .luckily the day we took the train..the climate was cold and ride became even more enjoyable. The steam kissed the face every now and then making the ride mesmerising..

You can see a lot tulips garden flowered but only if you pitch in the right season. And that is something which we missed.. yet without the tulips the place still looked amazing and beautiful. We got see sheep herds apple gardens and a lot more.

Our voyage in the vintage steamer was yet another classic experience. There was dining area in the top cabin and an open deck on top. I should say the view was great and the ride was comfortable and peaceful.

On the whole It was a lovely day trip.
