The new normal kind of vacation!! Tent vacation ⛺

Tent vacation it is. 😄

All of us want to step out of the house for a vacation but times are hard and our state of mind feathers into a lot of different pieces.

So we found a way to be precautionate at the same time enjoy being outside. We decided to have the least possible contact with outsiders. Which made us opt for a tent vacation.

In Germany fortunately we have a lot of specific places for camping and due to the pandemic the number tents allowed were reduced to 40% of their capacity which made it a lot more easier for us to stay private.

We planned a two nights three days trip to Bevertalsperre with two days exploring the camping site and one day exploring Ronsdorfer talsperre, Müngstener Brűcke, Schloss burg an der Wupper, all of these located in the closest surrounding to our camping place.

We located our tent near the lake for the view. It took us around 30 mins to build the tent. We had ourselves equipped for a good night’s sleep, cooking and also for spending time in the lake.

Our two day’s routine was to wake up have bath then have breakfast after which we would enjoy the lake till lunch time then have lunch play games by evening go on walk into the woods come back for dinner have dinner amongst the campfire and then hit the bed. All of this accompanied by some good music.

The experience was so soooooo good.

The next days we went on to explore the nearby places.

It is the highest railway bridge in Germany.The bridge is 107 metres high and spans the valley of the river Wupper.
  • This also had a rope cable car station which takes you across the river and also has a pretty decent view.
It is the largest reconstructed castle in North Rhine-Westphalia

It is one of the architectural heritage monument.

Finally after three days we left the places badly wanting to go back again.

Shino’s tips on this:

*If you’re new to tent’s make sure you try and raise your tent once in your house or house garden, this will make your job easy and fast at the camping site.

* Make sure you don’t forget any of the essentials,make a checklist so that you dont miss out on anything.

*You’ll will also have a lot of time to play games outdoor and indoor. So pick your favourites.

*If you’re allergic to insects an insect repellent is a must.
